Development Through Service
Challenging student managers to find their path toward living a life of true significance through funding service projects domestically and mission trips internationally. |
The Problem
Sports leaders are often underutilizing & even abusing the most influential and resource abundant industry in our world. Sports professionals are allowing the all-consuming nature of their careers define them & inappropriately aligning their love for sports with God’s heart. There are approximately 24 million paternal orphans (children without their father) throughout Africa, with very few male missionaries rising up to fill this void for male mentors (UNICEF, 2003). |
The Goal
Managers On A Mission strives to develop “uncommon” leaders that will maximize the utilization of the prominent and influential platform afforded to sports leaders, through domestic and international service opportunities based on the firm belief that service projects and the mission trip experience provide a life changing opportunity to discover who God is, His provision, and how fulfilling it truly is to pursue a life focused on glorifying Him. |

I am thrilled to see MOAM providing them the opportunity for personal development while engaging them in service to others on both a domestic and international scale.” - Tubby Smith (Head Coach, Texas Tech Men's Basketball) ![]() “As a former manager I understand the commitment student managers make to their respective program. MOAM has created an amazing opportunity to reward them for their hard-work in a manner that will help them grow as men and women and assist those in need. It would have been an incredible experience to participate through MOAM early in my career.” - Ryan Grooms (Director of Equipment, Notre Dame Football) |
