We asked Steven to answer a few questions regarding his experience as a Student Manager:
1. How is your student manager experience preparing you to be a future leader of sport?
I have had the opportunity to be around some of the best coaches in college football. They exhibit multiple leadership characteristics and show how to be a leader in many aspects of life.
2. Who are the key mentors or role models in your life?
My key mentor and role model in my life is my father. I look up to him in the success that he has had as a person and a business man. I also look to my savior Jesus Christ for guidance.
3. What is the most rewarding part of your position?
Game days would have to be the most rewarding part. Being in the best conference in college football, some of the experiences have been monumental. Such as the Cotton Bowl at AT&T Stadium or being in front of 100k plus fans in Tuscaloosa Vs Alabama.
4. What are your career goals?
My carrer goals are to take what I have learned through managing and college and become a successful businessman.
5. Are you currently involved in any other activities, organizations, or service projects?
I am an attendee of Fellowship of Christian Athletes at the UofA.
